I’ve started working on actually creating some of the content described in the LearnSquared course I’m doing. Learning quite a few new things in Blender too. This uses the Wireframe Modifier which is exactly what’s needed to reproduce the example shown in the course.

And here’s another effect as shown in the course. I tried this yesterday using geometry nodes but I get a bit more control with this technique. Splitting faces with edge split modifier (0 degree angle), expanding a selection out with Alt-S, separate remaining sphere into separate object, and apply displace modifier to split faces. Maybe that’s not the best order of operations.
