A notification for a new course on Udemy, on Hard Surface Modelling in Blender, appeared in my email. This is something I’ve been taking increasing interest in for a while now, only waiting for such a course to become available.
So I’ve already learned a lot in the first ten minutes. Auto smooth for the normals in the mesh tab, for example, to clean up ugly shading. And Harden normals in the Boolean modifier for the same purpose. Which is exactly why I’ve been waiting for a decent course. To try to pick up these things by asking questions on BA would be a nightmare.
Anyway I’m quite excited to get started on this. Many years ago I was using Rhino, partly because it was the only 3D content creation app that had good boolean operations. Looks like Blender is finally stepping up to the plate.
