Well, that didn’t last long. For some reason I decided to have another go at archviz, except that I found what appears to be a simpler tutorial this time. Basically looking at materials really, but one does need something to put those materials on.
Anyway, here’s a very basic blockout. It took several attempts to get this far, mostly trying to get dimensions right. I’m becoming convinced that a lot of interior photos, especially catalogue type photos of furniture and such, have been doctored. Proportions seem off, room features not lining up correctly. I tried a tutorial that uses fspy to get the right camera view of a room and the floor and walls didn’t line up right. I’m pretty sure the background room was composited in to a photo of a couch that was actually shot in studio, and fspy was having a hard time getting it right.
