Nature Scene

This is from a tutorial on creating a nature scene in Blender. I spent a lot of time modelling grass. Rocks are some objs I found in one of my directories – not sure if I made them or not. Trees are from xfrog. Rock and ground textures from CC0Textures. Background is an HDRI from HDRIHaven. Composition is mine. It’s not quite the same as in the tutorial. I’ve added a compound curve (the path) for greater interest.

Having a large library of plants in Vue was very handy. Still, I suppose it’s a good thing that I’ll get good at modelling plants. You can’t always find what you want online, and quality varies. The modelling techniques you use for organic forms tend to be different than the usual tools for architecture. I’m learning heaps.
