I’ve decided to upload only ‘finished’ images to DA and Cornucopia, so I’ll be using this blog to dump studies and works in progress. I feel a bit more free to write about what I’m doing too.
I”m actually pretty happy with where my art is at at the moment. A great little book by Edgar Payne called ‘Composition of Outdoor Painting’ has given me a perspective on what it’s all about that I didn’t have before, and for the first time I feel that I know what I’m doing.
Anyway, here’s a study to kick off the rejuvenation of this artblog. I sculpted the rock in ZBrush and used ZSpheres to create the clinging plant, following a tutorial by David Lesperance (Gnomon Workshop). Worked out pretty well.
