Not exactly new, because I did this kind of thing about a year ago (I have an image with a nice Moreton Bay fig from the Carlton Gardens somewhere), but only once or twice and now I intend to make it my MO. The tree on the right is a model generated from photos using Photoscan. It’s one of the elms in the park out the front of my house. Rest is library assets in Vue. I’m looking to place high-res content up front to enhance the realism of the scenes. Most Vue stuff is midground and background, very little close-up and if it is it rarely looks real. A colleague who saw this image on my desktop thought it was a photo, and he had used Maya in the past so he was familiar with 3D graphics.
